When is UCR due?
It opens in October, it is due by the end of December, and nobody sends you a reminder. Here are the dates.

The 2026 season opens on October 1, 2025. It is due by December 31, 2025, and from January 1, 2026 an inspection can hold it against you.
Late is not closed
Missing the date does not lock you out. You can register 2026 afterwards and we will file it. What you cannot do is undo the gap in between, and what happens in that gap is up to whichever state stops you — the penalties vary a lot.
Nothing renews itself and nobody official reminds you.
Each year is its own thing
Your fleet size is re-assessed annually, so last year’s fee is not necessarily this year’s. If we filed for you last season we will write once when the new one opens, but that is us being helpful rather than a system you should rely on.
