What happens after you order
A receipt from us is not a receipt from the government. Here is what each one means and when you get it.
Checked over on
Three different things happen, at three different times, and they are easy to run together. We keep them apart on purpose.
One: you paid us
You get a receipt straight away. It is a receipt from a private company for a service, and it is not evidence of anything filed.
Two: we process it
The link in that receipt takes you to your order page, which shows where the work has got to. No login — the link is the key, so treat it the way you would treat one.
Three: the government record
A separate matter again, and the only one an inspector cares about. When somebody here has looked at it, your order page says what we saw and the day we looked.
A payment receipt is not a government receipt. If anyone tells you otherwise, including us, read it again.
Start with your USDOT number and we’ll fill in the rest from the federal register.
File UCR 2026 — from $96.00While you’re here
My FMCSA details are wrong — Why the federal record lags reality, when that changes what you pay, and what to do about it.
BOC-3, in plain English — Somebody in every state who can accept legal papers for you. That is the whole of it — and you cannot name yourself.
Do I owe UCR? — Almost certainly yes if you cross a state line — and quite possibly yes even if you own no trucks at all.
Fifty State Agent is a private filing service, not affiliated with the FMCSA, the UCR Plan or any government agency.
