Terms of service

Fifty State Agent is a private commercial filing service. These terms cover your use of fiftystateagent.com and every order placed through it, and placing an order means you have accepted them.

We are not the FMCSA, we are not affiliated with it or with the U.S. Department of Transportation, and we are not a law firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

For $45.00 we provide a BOC-3 filing service with blanket process-agent coverage in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. After payment we send the filing request for processing on your behalf and keep your order status updated.

What you are paying for is the service and the coverage it puts on record. You are entirely free to designate a different agent instead.

We prefill the order from the FMCSA’s public record, which is convenient but not authoritative — records go stale, officers leave, companies move. Checking those details is your responsibility, and we send what you confirm rather than what the record happens to hold.

If a filing is rejected because a detail you confirmed was wrong, that is not a failure on our side; we will nevertheless correct it and send the request again once at no extra charge.

We do not control the FMCSA and will not pretend otherwise. We cannot promise when your filing will be processed, whether your operating authority will be granted, or that it will be granted by a particular date. The BOC-3 is one requirement among several; satisfying it removes an obstacle rather than guaranteeing an outcome.

The fee above is charged once and that is the end of it. We do not charge an annual fee for this filing and there is no subscription.

You can move to a different process agent whenever you like by filing a new BOC-3. That supersedes the earlier designation automatically. You need neither our permission nor to tell us.

If we cannot record your filing, you get your money back in full. The refund policy sets out in detail what is refundable once a filing has actually been made.

Our total liability on any claim arising from an order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, downtime, or other consequential loss arising from a filing being delayed, rejected or incorrect.

We may revise these terms. The version that governs your order is the one published on the day you placed it.
