Fifty State Agent is a private filing service, unaffiliated with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any government agency.

Your USDOT number, and the company details the FMCSA publishes against it — legal name, address, officer name, phone. That is public information which we read on your behalf so that you do not have to retype it. Alongside it we keep whatever you corrected or added on the order form, since that is what we actually file.

We hold your email address to send the receipt and the filed form, and to answer you if you write back. We record the IP address the purchase came from, kept as evidence in a chargeback.

We never see your card. Payment runs entirely through Stripe, and what comes back to us is a confirmation and the last four digits.

Separately from any of that, we measure how the site is used — pages opened, the route through them, an approximate location. Google Analytics does the measuring, so a cookie is set in your browser and your IP address reaches Google. It exists to tell us which pages are working. It is never tied back to your order, and it feeds no advertising.

If you have never bought anything from us, an email may still have reached you because your company appeared in a public FMCSA dataset as having applied for operating authority — for which a process agent designation is required, and which you may not yet have filed. Every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link and an address a person reads.

Unsubscribing is permanent, immediate, and applies to every brand we operate rather than only this one. There is no preference centre quietly keeping you on some other list, and no way to end up re-subscribed by accident.

To the FMCSA, in the filing — that being the entire point of the service. To Stripe, for the payment. To our email provider, to deliver your receipt and documents. To Google, the usage measurement described above and nothing besides. Nowhere else: we do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Block cookies, or run any content blocker, and the Google half simply does not happen. No part of this site depends on it.

Order records stay for seven years, because they are financial records. If you unsubscribe or ask us to stop writing to you, we keep the single thing needed to honour that — your email address — indefinitely and on purpose. Deleting it is precisely what would let you be contacted again.

Write to support@fiftystateagent.com to see what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Deletion is subject to the retention above: a completed order’s financial record cannot go, and a suppression entry will not, because that entry is the record of you asking us to stop.
